Duke Compute Cluster – /cwork volume outage

Dear DCC /cwork users:

The /cwork volume is now available on the DCC for your use.

The contents of the original /cwork volume are preserved and available to you read only as /cwork_orig/<netid>.  If you need any data from that volume, we recommend that you review the contents of your personal directory using globus, and then copy all required files to /cwork/<netid>. You will have until November 1st to access /cwork_orig/<netid>.

More complete instructions are below and if you need assistance do not hesitate to reach out to rescomputing@duke.edu.

Full screenshots and more detailed instructions are available at: https://dcc.duke.edu/globus/

  1. Login to the DCC Compute Cluster (DCC) Data Transfer node
  2. Enter /cwork_orig/<netid> in the path field and select ‘Transfer or Sync to…’
  3. Set the collection to DCC Compute Cluster (DCC) Data Transfer node
  4. Enter /cwork/<netid> in the path field
  5. Select the files on the left side, and when ready, select ‘Start’

As a reminder, /cwork is intended for use for temporary file storage and we automatically purge any files on the system older than 90 days.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we resolved this issue.
