It’s real now, as some groups on the Duke Compute Cluster have found out. Duke Research Computing has been moving from Sun Grid Engine (SGE) to the SLURM scheduler. On Thursday, 16 October, from 1:30-3:30, SGE/SLURM-guru Tom Milledge will help users get acquainted and productive with the new scheduler. Earlier this year, Tom has offered other SLURM workshop covering the basics of the SLURM scheduler. This workshop includes concepts and features that Tom has used to help users since the conversion to SLURM was begun.
The course is recommended for both new and experienced Duke Compute Cluster users.
Tom will also explore ways of migrating existing SGE submission scripts to SLURM. REGISTER HERE (http://training.oit.duke.edu/research).
If you want help on a specific SLURM problem, use Tom’s SLURM Office Hours. An email to firstname.lastname@example.org will get you set up!
