Malaria Early Warning System and Snow Fall Predictions

Big Data Visualization Using Python for Duke Nicholas of the Environment Researchers (2023). A team of Duke students worked with Duke researchers and Office of Information Technology / Research Computing staff to develop advanced interactive visualizations, workflows, and predictive modeling tools for two large datasets. Students worked with three Duke researchers to develop visualization dashboards for a Peruvian Amazon malaria early warning system and for climate dynamics connecting sea surface temperature anomalies to snowfall events in connection to El Niño/La Niña. This project exposed students to air-sea climate interactions, semi-real time data, and global health surveillance systems. Final presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usYsK2Uqa18
